Bushcare SOS – Wianamatta Regional Park

September 5 @ 9:00 am - 1:00 pm

Free

Wianamatta Regional Park (WRP) is made up of very special remnant bushland, known nowhere else but western Sydney. Disturbance from past use has left a legacy of weeds within the Park and, we need volunteers to help us remove these weeds in order to encourage regeneration of the natural state of the bush. Are you able to come along for one morning a month to help in the removals of the weeds within the Park, mostly Privet. If you have no experience that’s no problem as we will provide you with training. We will also provide safety gloves and tools to carry out the on-ground works. We will even provide you with some yummy morning tea, which you can enjoy over a chat or by listening to the birds – or both.

What you need to wear/ bring: Your own water bottles, long pants, long-sleeved shirts, hat, sunglasses or other glasses (including protective).

Training and morning tea provided.

Time – 9 to 1pm FIRST Saturday of the month

Kids are welcome – we will provide some kid friendly entertainment for them – we will need to know in advance if you intend to bring your kids.
