Creating Canopy at the Australiana Pioneer Village in Wilberforce

Join Greater Sydney Landcare Network and Landcare NSW for a day of tree planting at Pioneer Village in Wilberforce! We are creating habitat mosaics expanding from surrounding remnant bushland and intend to create cooler areas for visitors and the animals.

The planting patch will provide an important wildlife corridor for small birds, microbats, and other native animals to travel through the landscape as well as for visitors to enjoy the shade and cooling aspects whilst visiting the village.

On-site training, tools, and refreshments will be provided.

Please wear long sleeves, long pants, closed sturdy shoes and a hat / sunscreen, and bring at least 2 litres of drinking water. Also, please bring your own gardening gloves for COVID-19 safety considerations.

RSVPS are essential. Due to COVID-19 the number of participants for this event is restricted, so to avoid disappointment register here ASAP.

Instructions on parking and exact meeting point will be provided to those who have registered. You will need to provide your own transportation to the site.

For insurance purposes you must be accompanied by an adult if you are under 16 years old.

We will be will be planting thousands of trees for habitat and shade over the next two years.
