Floating Landcare volunteers visit boat access only locations and have been busy helping restore the local environment through bush regeneration, marine debris clean ups, and simple flora and fauna surveys along the Hawkesbury estuary, Pittwater and on the Central Coast.
Volunteers get to learn new skills, meet like-minded people and make a difference to their local environment while exploring places that normally have limited access. RSVP is essential for all activities.
Floating Landcare on the Central Coast is a project coordinated by Central Coast Council and the National Parks and Wildlife Service in partnership with
Greater Sydney Local Land Services with funding from Landcare Australia. For more information on Floating Landcare visit: http://www.hornsby.nsw.gov.au/environment/trees-plants-and-bushland/floating-landcare
