Hugo Ottesen, and the National Landcare Network have just released a review of the value of community-led and community-driven Landcare. From social and economic value, to the biological benefits, and community health and welfare, this review is a comprehensive take on the benefits and role of our grassroots movement.
This review comes at a pertinent time, where funding cuts to the volunteering, NRM, community services and public services are a real threat to the environment and social wellbeing, and where we need to work together – collectively – to show the value and need to continue supporting our essential work.
