Ready to make a difference? Come corporate volunteering with Greater Sydney Landcare like @ampolaustralia did at @marrickvillegolf club in October. The Ampol team helped clear 60 kg of weeds and 200 kg of rubbish from bush on the course - a fantastic effort and great day out of the office to boot.

Around 40 volunteers joined the Creating Canopies team on Saturday 28th October to plant 1,880 native trees and shrubs at Holy Family Parish in Emerton. Thank you to all our amazing volunteers including @thedawoodibohrasofausnz and @missearthaustralia @helenecology for joining us.

Thank you to Holy Family Catholic Parish, Mt Druitt for volunteering your land for trees. Thank you also to @blacktowncitycouncil Councillor Brad Bunting for speaking and planting a ceremonial tree at this event.

Thank you to the corporate volunteers from @amgenbiotech who joined the Creating Canopies team to plant 400 native trees and shrubs on the bank of Duck River in Mona Park, Auburn on Thursday 26th October. Thank you also to @cumberlandcitycouncil for volunteering this site for trees.

Amgen had carefully chosen Creating Canopies as their volunteer initiative for 2023, wanting to be part of a hands-on project that was making a difference towards a greener tomorrow.

Creating Canopies is thrilled to partner with @westernsydneyu. Together we’ll plant 30,000 native trees and shrubs at WSU’s Hawkesbury Campus by the end of 2025.

The first planting was held on Saturday 21st October, and saw WSU students trade textbooks and lecture theatres for gardening gloves and mattocks. The students helped Creating Canopies install an incredible 2,000 plants. Goooo team!

On Saturday 28th October, Creating Canopies hosted a planting at Ned Long’s Bilpin Springs Farm. Ned is all about sustainability, including taking action to improve the ecology of his land and making his farm a place for native wildlife to call home.

Thank you to Ned and the 20 volunteers who helped us plant 1,500 native trees and shrubs on Bilpin Springs Farm. Thank you also to Monique Bailey of @hawkesburynepeanlandcare and @hawkesburyrivercountycouncil for helping to lead this day.

@ventiaservices and @transportfornsw partnered with Creating Canopies to plant 3,000 native trees and shrubs along Narellan Road in Currans Hill.

On Tuesday 17th Oct, corporate volunteers from Ventia and Transport for NSW joined us to install the first 400 plants on the site which had been cleared of African Olive weeds by Transport as a favour to the next door Australian Botanic Gardens.
