Greater Sydney Landcare Network invites you to
explore Scheyville National Park and learn from Area Manager Jonathon Sanders
at our AGM Sunday 27th August
Attention all those interested in the restoration of Sydney‘s natural environment!
Guest Speaker: Jonathon Sanders, Area Manager, Scheyville National Park. Jonathon will present on plant population processes and ecology, and how that understanding can be used to formulate long term management in disturbed or weed infested landscapes.
See first hand how National Parks and Wildlife are managing African Lovegrass with a variety of control method
s to promote native pasture.
Participants will hear about new techniques in integrated weed and landscape management and be able to discuss how this might apply to their own situation.
Other presentations will be done throughout the day on Landcare in GreaterSydney.
All guests will be invited to the formal part of the day, the Greater Sydney Landcare Network AGM. This will be held briefly before lunch. New Steering Committee members are always invited to join.
Lunch will be provided (BBQ with salads and fruit) with a tour of the historical Scheyville precinct, once known as Silver City.
