Corporate Landcare at St Ignatius’ College Riverview

Landcare Australia organised with Greater Sydney Landcare Network a corporate day of bushcare service with twenty Resolution Capital staff on Tuesday 20th November at St Ignatius College at Riverview.  What an enthusiastic Group! Bec Mooy from Greater Sydney Local Land Services and Sue Martin from St Ignatius’ College Riverview were on hand to support all the volunteers.

The day started with a kayak up the Lane Cove River with Lands Edge.  After lunch we were ready for the energetic task of tackling the many foreshore weeds especially asparagus fern and Crofton weed.   Lane Cove Council bushland team supported the day with equipment. Habitat Nursery provided some hakea plants to create some wren habitat in a zone that Bushlink and National Trust bush regenerators have been helping the school with.  In a blink the activity came to an end and the group was returned to their public transport options.
