Changing to a Gift Fund

Greater Sydney Landcare has been working to become registered as a Charity and to be granted Deductible Gift Recipient (DGR) status.

At our last AGM we voted to change the Constitution to include a Public Fund which was the requirement at the time for this registration process. Since then we have been granted Charity status.

However for the DGR registration it was moved, as of 1 January 2024, to be managed by the Australian Taxation Office. With this change we are now required to have a Gift Fund instead of a Public Fund.

We ask that you download our updated Constitution with the marked-up changes for your review to reflect this change.

Invitation to a Special General Meeting

In order to get these changes approved by our membership, we are required to hold a Special General Meeting.

Our members are cordially invited to remotely attend a Special General Meeting to be held on Tuesday 23rd April from 4 pm to 4:15 pm — in line with our normal online monthly Staff and Committee meeting. After the Special General Meeting you can stay on to observe the normal meeting if you wish.
