Supporting Environmental Sustainability

The biggest group we hosted was 39 corporate volunteers from ING, who planted 1,000 trees and shrubs at Cessna Reserve in Middleton Grange in the Liverpool local government area.

The smallest group we hosted was 5 corporate volunteers from the Sydney branch of MUFG – Japan’s largest bank. This small but mighty group planted 200 trees and shrubs at Marrong Reserve in Pemulwuy in the Cumberland local government area.

The organisation that volunteered with us the most (three times!) in 2023 was Spirax Sarco, who have been working with us at the same site, Carnarvon Golf Course in Lidcombe in the Cumberland LGA. The Spirax Sarco employees have really enjoyed seeing how their efforts have paid off over time during their repeat visits.

In addition to these tree planting events, Greater Sydney Landcare was also pleased to host bush regeneration days for corporate volunteers from Ampol and Vocus, further increasing the impact for the environment.

Corporate volunteers from ING planted with Creating Canopies at multiple locations in 2023, including this day at Marrickville Golf Course in October.
